Watch the third World Cup star get added to Argentina’s shirt

Last night was not a dream, Argentina fans: Your third World Cup star is on the way.

Twitter user @endemianado has captured the new Argentina shirt being produced with the third star — for Argentina's triumphs at the 1978, 1986, and 2022 World Cups.

The new star gets placement just above the prior two, and a World Champion shield also features in the center.

Argentina originally played in a pale blue shirt. The blue and white kit stripes go back to 1908 when Argentina played an all-star team from the Brazilian league.

What better way to celebrate Argentina's third World Cup than updating and releasing the newest version of La Albiceleste jersey? Adidas will make it available on December 26.
