Watch Erling Haaland shatter the Premier League single-season scoring record

Erling Haaland shattered the Premier League's single-season scoring record on Wednesday by scoring his 35th goal for Manchester City during their match against West Ham.

The Norwegian goal machine officially moves above Alan Shearer and Andy Cole, with whom he briefly shared the record (34 goals) over the weekend.

But now the milestone is rightly Haaland's, who's taken the Premier League by storm. The 22-year-old's record-breaking goal came in the 70th minute when he skillfully received Jack Grealish's pass, outpaced the West Ham defense, and deftly chipped the ball over goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski to make it two-nil.

Interestingly, only one of Haaland's EPL goals has come outside the box this season; he's truly a “Fox in the box.”

After the game, his Manchester City teammates and staff spontaneously formed a guard of honor for him at the end of the match.

With five games left to play in the season, the only question is how many goals will he end the season with? He currently has a whopping 51 strikes in all competitions this season.

#1. Who is the second top-leading EPL scorer behind Erling Haaland?

Harry Kane is the correct answer. He's scored 26 goals, putting him ahead of Ivan Toney (20), Mo Salah (19), and Marcus Rashford (16). Haaland, of course, leads the league with 35 record-breaking strikes.
