AIK Fotboll and Nike have collaborated to produce a limited-edition jersey that pays tribute to Stockholm, the club's birthplace.
The “AIK Stockholm Edition” cup jersey honors the club's 132-year history and is limited to only 132 pieces. In other words, it's nearly impossible to get your hands on this fancy shirt.
AIK is a successful Swedish football club with 12 Allsvenskan titles. They've also developed a reputation, like the Italian side Venezia, as “The Most Stylish Club in the World.” Recently, they unveiled their special-edition kit on a Stockholm street mural, generating excitement among fans and the wider football community.
This marks another collaboration between AIK Fotboll and Nike, showcasing a stunning design that celebrates the club's rich history and the elegance of Stockholm.
Nike's 2023 AIK 132-year Kit
Nike 2023's AIK kit takes inspiration from its hometown, specifically, an early Renaissance painting from 1535.
The all-over graphic pulls details from Urban MĂ„lare's The Sundog Painting, one of the most renowned artworks in Sweden.
On the left chest stands one of Nike's original logos dating back to 1971, which combined the swoosh and the brand name in all lowercase. The right side showcases the club's logo, delicately crafted from 3D silicone to give the kit some extra flair.
The sleeve cuffs incorporate golden and navy stripes, also enriched with metal particles to make the kit sparkle and gleam.
While the kit is predominantly white, gold, and navy, the black shorts create a bold contrast. The gold trimming adds an eye-catching touch to the design, highlighting both the club crest at the bottom right of the shorts and the player's number on the right, just above the Nike logo.
The all-black socks with gold trim complete the look.
