Nike unveils simplistic England 150th Anniversary pre-match kit

Nike has released a special 150th Anniversary pre-match kit for England ahead of the heritage friendly against Scotland on Tuesday at Hampden Park.

Few rivalries weave as intricately as the longstanding contest between England and Scotland. Their inaugural match in 1872 holds the distinction of being the world's first international football game, setting the stage for a fixture steeped in more than just athletic competition. The England-Scotland fixture remains a living, breathing narrative.

Ironically, the fixture also pits together two of the world's competing sportswear brands: Nike and Adidas.

Three Lions captain Harry Kane showed off the unique pre-match kit against his Scotland rival, Andy Robertson. Robertson is also wearing a commemorative 150th-anniversary dark blue shirt made by Adidas.

Nike's England 150th anniversary kit returns the team's all-white colorway. The most noticeable design is the antiquated Three Lions crest from 1872 with the crown on top.

Nike will auction off the warmup kits, and all proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Society. You can enter the auction here
