Nicole McLaughlin creates a jacket designed in goalkeeper gloves for PUMA

Designer Nicole McLaughlin collaborated with Puma to turn goalkeeper gloves into a jacket.

The former Reebok's Classics Apparel designer and graduate of the Adidas Creator Farm in Brooklyn got into a habit of making sportswear out of scraps on the side.

Now she is fine-tuning her craft while partnering with brands like Puma to push her unique upcycling style to the beautiful game.

The one-of-a-kind goalie glove jacket is McLaughlin's first project with PUMA. It marks the start of the artist's ongoing mission to “create unique pieces that highlight the potential of upcycling by using samples, deadstock and other PUMA materials.”

The jacket design — created from an array of bright-colored recycled goalie gloves — puts an interesting twist on the classic motorcycle jacket.

The sustainable fashion designer included velcro fastenings around the cuffs and hem, a beautiful touch for leather jacket aficionados.

While the piece fits like a glove — one picture David Beckham rocking it — all the goalies out there might be wondering what the jacket actually smells like.
