That's reportedly the most expensive car ever.
For the record, that exceeds Michael Jordan's single-season NBA earnings when the basketball legend made $33 million during the 1997/98 season. MJ remained the highest-paid NBA player before Stephen Curry broke it two decades later.
Meanwhile, a $36 million Ferrari is roughly half the salary Messi will receive at PSG this season. The 35-year-old rakes in an additional $48m through endorsements with Adidas, Gatorade, Lay's, Pepsi, Pro Evolution Soccer — the list goes on.

Messi joked about the purchase of the 1957 Ferrari 335 S Spider Scaglietti by posting with a micro-machine on Instagram.
“My new car,” he wrote in the post.
