Kappa and Drôle de Monsieur team up on Monaco's beautiful fourth kit

AS Monaco's fourth kit is a thing of beauty.

The kit by Kappa, in collaboration with French ready-to-wear label Drôle de Monsieur is the latest stunner to add to the list of kits fusing the fashion and football worlds.

The players will wear the collection in this weekend's Ligue 1 game versus Lille.

The Kappa x Drôle de Monsieur collab for AS Monaco

The collaboration between Kappa and Drôle de Monsieur allows for a “reinterpretation of the Monegasque jersey and the creation of an exclusive collection,” according to the club's website.

The shirt — a primarily beige shirt mixed in with darker rhombus shapes –pays tribute to the French Riviera and its peaceful surroundings. The bottom of the kit displays much larger diamond shapes in brown, orange, and light blue hues.

The tailored cuffs of the shirt, just like the accompanying shorts, are also blue. The collection includes an overtly yellow goalkeeper jersey, two t-shirts, a tracksuit set, a backpack, and a cap, all shoppable right here.

“The jersey and this collection combine elements of the Club's identity with the world of fashion, through the vision of elegance of Drôle de Monsieur. We are delighted with this collaboration with our equipment supplier Kappa, which allows AS Monaco to explore new territories, in line with our image,” said the CEO of AS Monaco Jean-Emmanuel de Witt.

Not everyone wants to kick it around in style, though, as the Ultras Monaco penned an open letter to display their distaste. You can't please everybody.
