Trinity Rodaman, the daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman, is increasingly gaining recognition in her own right in her sport, soccer.

After all, she won the 2021 Rookie of the Year and US Soccer's Young Player of the Year award last year at 19. The plaudits earned her a spot on the US Women's National team, where she's since made 17 appearances.

Last August, the forward signed a four-year deal for a $1.1 million contract extension with the Washington Spirit. She previously earned the league minimum of $42,000 annually.

Now 21, Rodman is ready to take her talents to the world stage at this year's in Australia and New Zealand.

“She was one of the most exciting players in the league this past season, and she proved that she can be impactful at the professional level in NWSL,” boss Vlatko Andonovski said of Rodman in February 2022.

While the strength of the forward position on the USWNT is competitive, with Alex Morgan, Sophia Smith, and Mallory Swanson up top, Rodman could catch her break. That's because in-form Swanson suffered a horrible tendon tear against Ireland last April, making her ineligible for the World Cup.

Rodman could fill more than fill in for Swanson, providing the much-needed final ball for sharpshooter Alex Morgan.

The highly anticipated USWNT official roster for the World Cup will be announced next month.
