Bayern Munich rolls back the years with 2023/24 home kit

Adidas and Bayern Munich have presented their home kit for the 2023/24 season, a vibrant blend of red and white.

The new jersey pays tribute to Bayern Munich's first-ever top-tier league home kit, which was more white than red. Bayern's uniforms have leaned more on the red side for the past decade.

Hidden with the collar reads “Rot & Weiß ein Leben lang” or ‘”Red and white for life,” alluding to the club's oath to the red and white colors.

Bayern's unveiling video featured stars from the men's and women's teams showcasing the new kit. These players included Linda Dallmann, Serge Gnabry, Lina Magull, Sadio Mane, Thomas Muller, and Sarah Zadrazil.

“The red and white fusion symbolizes the very essence of FC Bayern Munich – a tradition that's been upheld for over a hundred years. These colors are emblems of pride, steadfast conviction, and significant victories,” said Lisa Datz, the Senior Product Manager at Adidas Football.

Said Bayern Munich midfielder Lina Magull: “When you think of FC Bayern, images of red and white immediately come to mind. Even as a child, my room was decorated in these colors, and it's a dream to be able to wear them on the pitch. The new jersey combines history and elegance – and we want to do justice to these colors.”

The club also kept the stripes intact but morphed them into a subtlely designed textured print. In addition, Adidas applied its patented HEAT.RDY technology. The fabric intends to keep the players comfortable and cool.

The new home kit will debut on May 20, when Bayern square off against RB Leipzig in the second to last game of the 22/23 season. The Bavarian giants are neck-and-neck with Borussia Dortmund in the final weeks of the Bundesliga.

Fans can buy the jersey from the club shops, certain Adidas outlets, and the official FC Bayern website.

#1. Who is the second top-leading EPL scorer behind Erling Haaland?

Harry Kane is the correct answer. He's scored 26 goals, putting him ahead of Ivan Toney (20), Mo Salah (19), and Marcus Rashford (16). Haaland, of course, leads the league with 35 record-breaking strikes.
