plans to gift gold iPhones to the entire squad and staff members.

IDesignGold revealed on Instagram that he crafted 35 gold iPhone 14s for Messi, which the player intends to give the victorious players and staff.

“It was an honor to deliver 35 gold iphone 14 to @leomessi for his team mates & staff as a gift for winning the final,” captioned IDesignGold's (IDG) lead-designer Ben.

IDG's journey began in 2016 with their first high-profile client, Conor McGregor. They've also done bespoke work for other top athletes and entertainers including Anthony Joshua, Paris Hilton, Armie Hammer, and Richard Mille.

The iPhones have been personalized with the AFA crest, three stars, and the phrase “World Cup Champions 2022” inscribed below. Furthermore, each device has the player's name and number engraved.

Messi reportedly paid $3,200 for each personalized device — pocket change for one of the world's highest-paid athletes.

Everything Messi touches turns into gold

Last January, designer Jason Lee aka FOKOHAELA, designed a special limited edition gold Messi jersey. The one-of-a-kind kit honors the Argentina magician with a World Cup masterclass. Messi also took home the World Cup Golden Ball for the tournament's best player, his record-setting second. He won another in 2014.

Earlier this week, the 35-year-old beat and to The Best FIFA Football Awards 2022 for his stellar World Cup display.

The entire country of Argentina is still celebrating Messi's World Cup win. There's even talk of putting his face on the 1000 peso. Not surprisingly, Lionel or Lionela are some of the most popular names in Argentina this year.
